The record breaking continues this week as The Streets Cyberspace & Reds officially becomes the most downloaded mixtape on DAM. Approaching 900 downloads and showing no signs of slowing down as it passes the Pow 2011 mixtape by over 100 downloads. Deserved as well as it is a quality mixtape with some interesting features. Pow 2011 also did well this week as it topped the grime chart again this maybe due to the upcoming release of the official single this month.
Bashment had a big week with half of the overall top ten being from the genre. DAMs own ‘DAM thats what i call a mixtape’ which features the best of the singles released for free in Jan, squeezed in at number 10 overall. Classic mixtapes such as Tinie Tempahs Micro Mixtape, Blade vs Fem Fel and Best of Giggs topped the UK Hip Hop chart.
In terms of new releases it has been a bit quiet this week but thats all set to change next week with new releases from Lil Nasty, Wariko and a massive one from Giggs hosted by Whoo Kid which could challenge The Streets mixtape.
