Another big week on the mixtape scene, this week Bashment took the top spot with DJ War’s ‘From Gaza To Di Gully Side’ toppling Giggs’ reign on the top. But still a good week for Giggs’ and his SN1 crew as he finished 2nd overall and top of the UK Hip Hop chart with fellow SN1 member, the incarcerated Kyze hitting 3rd overall and 2nd in the UK Hip Hop chart with his ‘Best Of Kyze’ mixtape.
After a lot of recent releases grime has been a bit quiet this week with the DAM Pow mixtape creeping back up to number 1, this could be due to the recent physical release of the original Pow 2011 for sale. Lil Nasty and Wariko also kept it consistant both charting top 5 in the grime chart.
Stefan the DJ has taken over the R&B with his ’90′s Between the Sheets mixtape’, which drops some classic tunes from the 90′s which would have been useful over the Valentines weekend!
