First off Happy New Year! Im sure you would’ve noticed the chart hasn’t been up for the last couple weeks but dont worry because we’re back every Monday from now on.
Lets get down to it! Xmas brought a lot of UK releases Ghetts, Bloodline, Stayfresh and a whole lot more, but in the new year there have also been some big mixtapes dropped. Over the last week we’ve posted up new stuff from Lioness, Faith SFX, S-X, Colours and a lot more. Some of them had a big impact on the chart, Faith SFX the beatboxing producer managed to hit 2nd in the overall chart as well as 1st in the grime chart, Ghetts also made an appearance in the overall chart with his Xmas EP.
Number 1 overall came from the club promo mixtape for the event ‘Game Over’ with over 1500 listens in the week, club promo mixes always seem to do well on the site, registration was stuck to the top spot for weeks a few months ago! 3 Bashment mixtapes popped up in the overall chart and of course topped the Bashment chart, starting with 3rd placed City Wave Sound, 8th placed DJ Dredskis Dancehall xmas mix and 10th placed The Resurgent Dancehall Mixtape, which has been on the chart for weeks.
Best of Giggs 3 made a come back to knock Tinie Tempah off the top of the UK Hip Hop chart and Drake, Lil Wayne and J Cole completely dominate the US Hip Hop chart.
A lot of big stuff happening this week, DAM has just released a Mike Lowery freestyle mixtape so make sure you download that, also expecting a new mixtape from The Streets, but whatever mixtape you looking for remember to DAM It!!!!
